What is the Pre-University Program?

​At Global Exchange Education, we provide innovative and cost-effective global education solutions. Our Pre-University Program (1+3 Model) offers high school graduates or students in their final years of high school a fast-track pathway to a U.S. bachelor’s degree—saving both time and money.

 

This program is designed for students to complete their freshman year in their home country, then directly enter Year 2 at a U.S. university.​

Pre-University Program Pathway

Year 1 (in home country)

Students complete 24 U.S. university academic credits with course content, syllabi, and grading standards fully aligned with the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). All credits are reviewed and approved by UMKC.

Year 2-4 (in the US)

Students begin their studies in their home country and transfer to the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) to complete a Bachelor’s degree in just 3 years, entering as sophomores with advanced standing.

Entry Requirements

To apply, students must meet the following criteria:

Academic Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

  • Minimum high school average: 70% or GPA 3.0

English Proficiency (one of the following):

  • IELTS: 5.5 minimum
  • TOEFL iBT: 69 minimum

  • Duolingo English Test: 95 minimum

Additional Requirement:

  • A Statement of Purpose (300 words) outlining your academic goals
